REED

A REED concrete pump is a hydraulically powered machine used to move concrete, shotcrete, or grout through a pipeline to where it’s needed on site. It allows contractors to place material quickly and accurately, even across long distances or into areas that are difficult to access.

The pump works using a twin-cylinder piston system. Concrete is loaded into a hopper, then hydraulic cylinders alternate between drawing material in and pushing it into the delivery line. A valve mechanism switches the flow between cylinders, which keeps the output continuous rather than stop-start.

This setup allows REED pumps to generate high pressure and maintain a steady flow, even when working with tougher mixes that include larger aggregate or lower slump.

As a result, they’re often used across applications like line pumping, shotcreting, and grouting, where consistency and reliability are critical to getting the job done efficiently.
